![]() Before you trigger Ag/Highpool you also want to buy the rad suit and go up to RNC to grab Ralphy (Till he learns toaster repair to rank 7-9 then have him read the book and you dont need to level him anymore.) and Scotchmo. Make sure none of your Rangers have Comp Sci cuz Rose will fill that need and be your primary surgeon/medic. You are smart to do AG Center because Rose is best. Building 4 strong rangers will make you feel badass the rest of the game. Of course you want to optimize the rest of the party too. This Ranger is also good for first rank dips into the skills that are ok at Rank 1. Then you read the skill book for it to bring you to 8 naturally and 10 with the items. He only has to get to 7 HardAss by late into the game. ![]() Use the trinket +Bad Attitude SMGs (one of the only three things worth spending requisition on) for a +2 boost. After that it is up to you but I start giving the Ranger Hardass. At 10 you pump Strength if you find you need more con (its retroactive) or pump awareness every 10 levels. Then you read the Brawling skill book and get to 10. With shrines in AZ and no other skill expenditures you can get to rank 9 by about level 10. Save them and at level 2 you buy the 5th rank in Brawling. ![]() We will see if future patches nerf brawling or boost blunt/bladed.Īll SP go into Brawling. If you want to melee there is only one true build for melee power into the late game. My main concern is the hit chance is so low, on top of the usual frickin' disadvantages of bringing a board-with-a-nail-in-it to a gunfight. « Last Edit: October 03, 2014, 08:46:28 am by Surface Reflection » I guess ill go and load it again and strip everyone from their power and kevlar armors and then just roll over the cyborgs. Even on difficulty one step lower then ranger. I got party wiped several times there and couldnt go through. (of course, in all these fights against enemies with all these weapons and proton axes - you get to collect only junk loot afterwards and a random gun or two) There are two neutron projectors that hit my guys from very far away - and my energy weapons do only a pitiful damage to the cyborgs - since they dont wear any armor. If i reposition in the first turn i dont shoot anyone, if i shoot then i stay in the middle in the open. They drop a lot either from some fixed containers/caches and in LA everyone and their grandparents reward you with power armor.ītw, i am just stuck at one mission where a lot of cyborgs ambush me, i start with everyone clustered in the center of the bigger square surrounded by a dozen cyborgs, half or more with energy weapon, one grenade tosser and three or four melees. İn conclusion armor not really worth it, having some helps a bit to mitigate damage but there is no need to buy them. Also armor not showing up at all not really helps. In WL 2 I quickly found myself avoiding power and chitin armor after usinde them a while. Don't like to give power armor as an example but you felt godly when you picked it up in Fallout games. Some LA fights become absurdly easy when you unequip your armor. Armor not really mitigate a lot of damage, mostly because enemies always have same/near value AP already when you found a heavy armor. Late game enemies have mostly AP weapons that pierce 6-7 armor or energy weapons that hit for 100-200 making armor not very usefull. Especially slow melee figters become useless quickly, no matter how they hit hard. Most heavy armor slows down the wearer, you'll want your frontliners want to wear heavy armor but that really limits their effectivness.
